Thomas Ernest King
Mr. Thomas Ernest King, 92, of Unionville, TN, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Harton Regional Medical Center, Tullahoma. Mr. King was born in the Longview Community on Sept. 9, 1925, to F. Z. King and Clatie E. Neal King. He attended Coopertown School. Over the years, Mr. King worked at Empire Pencil Company, Shelbyville Pure Milk Company, and owned an King Egg Company which delivered eggs all over Middle Tennessee. He was a Rural Mail Carrier for many years before he retired. Mr. King attended Enon Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Stephens King; brother, Garland King; sisters, Nancy King Smotherman, Jean King Sudberry; and baby sister, Clatie Elizabeth King.
Family members will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Unionville Cemetery with Elder William Chester and Elder Millard Johnson officiating.
