Hilda Gene Scott, 90, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Skyline Medical Center in Madison.

Mrs. Scott was a native of Marshall County and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Tennie Callahan Hastings. She was a former bookkeeper at Browns Hospital and retired from the office at Lewisburg Machine Works. She was a member of the Bethberei Presbyterian Church, a lifelong avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, past member of the University of Tennessee Scholarship Friends, and was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lucian Scott; daughter, Brenda Scott; granddaughter, Renee Manlove; sister, Oneida Rowland; and brother, Kenneth Hastings. She is survived by her granddaughter, Holly Manlove of Belfast; great granddaughter, Kelsey Evans of Belfast; great grandson, Ty Hyden of Belfast; great-great granddaughter Addie Mae Evans; sister, Glendal Harris of Shelbyville; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Head Springs Cemetery.

The family was at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday until the funeral hour.
