Eugene "Rollo" Polk
Eugene “Rollo” Polk, 70, of Catalpa, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in Marshall Medical Center.
Mr. Polk was a native of Birmingham, AL, born on June 19, 1947, to Robert and Louise Lee Polk. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He owned and operated restaurants in Lewisburg, Cornersville and Pulaski and was a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Beacham Polk. He is survived by three sons, Nathan (Shannon) Polk of Culleoka, Jason (Wendy) Polk of Cornersville, and Tom (Tara) Polk of Lewisburg; daughter, Kelly (Mike) McComb of Cedartown, GA; mother, Louise Lee Monroe of Catalpa; and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery with military honors.
Serving as active pallbearers are Ronnie Morton, Harold Franks, Larry Nobles, Red Morris, Phil Wright, Bobby Dyer and honorary pallbearer, Scott Gilbert.
The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. for visitation.
