Cold temps freeze Marshall County

Friday, January 5, 2018
Cold weather might make for pretty pictures in the winter but creates a new set of problems. Wednesday morning saw the water lines to the Marshall County Jail frozen, and the Tennessee Valley Authority requested that consumers try to conserve electricity as their supply was stressed due to increased demand. Despite the cold, Marshall County Schools buildings and buses were ready to go, unlike several area systems who delayed their return to class because of a combination of the cold temperatures and widespread illness among students.
