TCAT-Pulaski Announces 2017 Employee of the Year

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Pulaski is pleased to announce that Mike Whitehead has been selected as the 2017 Employee of the Year.

Mike Whitehead has served as the Assistant Director of the Applied Technology-Pulaski since August 2015. As Assistant Director, Whitehead is responsible for assisting the President in overseeing the day to day operations of the college including personnel hiring decisions, budget planning, training needs, and program supervision. Whitehead also serves as the Affirmative Action Officer, Title IX Coordinator, Title VI Coordinator, Skills USA Lead Advisor and National Technical Honor Society Lead Advisor for the school. Prior to joining the TCAT administrative staff, Whitehead worked for nine years as a secondary educator teaching math in Marshall County School system. In addition, Whitehead worked thirteen years in Marshall and Bedford County industries that manufactured writing instruments, automotive products, and cosmetics. Whitehead is a native of Marshall County, Tennessee and holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Tennessee Tech University and a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee State University. TCAT-Pualski President, Tony Creecy, stated that “our college is very fortunate to have an individual such as Mike Whitehead who is extremely passionate about the success of the school and its students.
