She married Richard Houston Shearon on Sept. 8, 1939. In 1941, they moved to the Richmond community in Bedford County, where they lived until her husband’s death in 1997. She moved to Shelbyville later that year and to Spring Hill in 2014.
As a young woman, she became a member of the Old Lasea Church of Christ in Pottsville, Tennessee. After her marriage, she became a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ in Richmond, where her husband was an elder and song leader. She later became a member of the Fairlane Church of Christ in Shelbyville.
She began working at Fly Manufacturing in Shelbyville in 1959 and was an exemplary employee there for more than 20 years.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Arbors at Willow Springs for the loving and attentive care they provided Mrs. Shearon for the past four years.
