Lady Rockets off to 2-0 start

The two-time state champion Forrest Lady Rockets have started their quest for another big season and a return trip to the state tournament with a 2-0 record to begin the season.

Kennedy Gillespie slammed a home run in the Lady Rocketsí 9-0 win over Shelbyville Central at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill last night.

The Lady Rockets took down Spring Hill 10-3 in the season opener on Tuesday and backed the win up last night at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill with a 9-0 triumph over Shelbyville Central.

Forrest hosts Independence tonight at 5 p.m. and travels to Lawrenceburg for three games tomorrow in the Firehouse Subs Classic at Bobby Brewer Park in Lawrenceburg versus Buckhorn, AL (9 a.m.), Summertown (11:50 a.m.), and Grace Christian-Franklin (1:15 p.m.).

Zoe Longs had a big night versus Shelbyville as the lady Rockets moved to 2-0 on the season.
