MCHS vandalized: LPD asks for tips
The Lewisburg Police Department is asking for assistance in locating several juveniles in connection with an incident of vandalism.
At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, the department received a call from school employees that Marshall County High School had been vandalized overnight.
Walking through the building, officers noted damage to the front lobby of the building, damaged computer equipment in one hallway, and spray painting throughout the building, including hallways, the gym, restrooms, and doors.
Reviewing surveillance tapes, five individuals, believed to be minors, were observed entering the building around midnight and vandalizing the building.
Later in the day, the School Resource Officer reported that the soccer field house had been broken into, with damage to the building and benches. Several items were also reported stolen as well.
The SRO also provided video of another recent burglary at another school, believed to be committed by the same subjects.
Anyone with information of the incident is urged to contact the LPD Detectives Division at 359-3800.
