Logan Courtemanche took the ball for the winnerís bracket game Saturday night versus Lebanon at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Field in Lewisburg and pitched the game of his life, tossing 6.2 innings of shutout baseball as Marshall County won 7-0 to advance to Sundayís title game.

Courtemanche gave up four hits, while striking out seven and walking one Lebanon batter before he reached his mandatory pitch count with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Ethan Hollis went 2-for-2, scored a run, stole a base, and finished up the game on the mound for Marshall County.

Ethan Hollis came on and struck out the only batter he faced to end the game.

Courtemanche also drove in two runs as Marshall County banged out nine hits in the contest with Logan McKnight (RS) and Hollis (RS, SB) both coming up with two base hits apiece.

J.W. Beasley (2SB, RS, BB, RBI), Luke Terry (2SB), Conner McVey (RS, RBI, SB), Courtemanche, and Bryson Whaley all had one hit apiece for the host squad.

Marshall County did not score in the top of the first inning and Lebanon had two on and one out in the bottom of the second inning when Javarria Rucker came up with a huge defensive play when he made a running catch in the outfield before completing a double play when he threw out a Lebanon runner at third base trying to tag on the play.

Marshall County leadoff man J.W. Beasley had one hit, drove in a run, scored once, drew one base on balls, and stole two bases in the 7-0 win over Lebanon.

Ruckerís defensive play sparked the offense in the top of the second inning as Kel Greer led off with a base on balls before McKnight, McVey, Courtemanche, Whaley, Hollis, and Beasley banged six consecutive base hits to make it a 5-0 contest.

One out later, Carson Cheek reached on a Lebanon error that scored two more runs.

Courtemanche slammed the door after that as he allowed just three base runners and struck out seven and walked none the rest of his stint on the mound.

Logan McKnight had big game for Marshall County, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored.
