The Marshall County 13-15 year-old all-stars won the state championship last weekend at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Field in Lewisburg to qualify for the Southeast Region Tournament that begins on July 24 at Longwood, Florida and they need some help to fund the trip.

The all-stars are hosting a car wash at Auto Zone and O'Reilly’s during the day on Saturday and on Saturday night, the squad will be at the Babe Ruth Field selling hamburger and hot dog plates for $10. Please make plans to go and/or donate. There is also a GoFundMe account set up if you want to donate.

This will be the third consecutive Southeast Region Tournament appearance for the team, which also played in the Babe Ruth World Series at Lawrenceburg last summer via an at-large bid.

Marshall County won the District 8 title at Pulaski in a three-game sweep before matching that undefeated mark in the Babe Ruth State Tournament last weekend at Lewisburg, culminating with an 8-0 win over Lebanon in the state title tilt.
