National Beta Convention: Bailey National Runner-Up

Nine MCHS Beta Club members attended the National Beta Convention in Savannah, GA, on June 16-21. After several days of activities, Carson Bailey emerged as the national runner-up in 11th grade language arts.

The Beta Club rewards scholarship while encouraging service and leadership. High school students from 39 states participated in the senior national convention by virtue of having placed in competition on the state level. MCHS senior Adriana Pomatto and junior Carson Bailey won a spot for the MCHS group in Savannah by placing first in digital art and in 11th grade language arts, respectively, at the state convention in Nashville. Attending the national convention were Carson Bailey, Caroline Bailey, Matthew Bragdon, Michael Danford, Jillian Ethridge, Andrew Golembieski, Madison Head, Adriana Pomatto, and Miranda Pomatto.
