“Oh what a day!” said Dottie Kelso Memorial Tournament scholarship fund committee member Ronald C. Robinson. “The man up above, along with Dottie’s magic gave us a beautiful day for golfing and raising scholarship funds.”

The tournament was held at the Saddle Creek Golf Club on Saturday, July 28 and was great in so many ways.

Before the 26 teams took the course they were treated to a delicious breakfast of chicken, sausage, and ham biscuits.

After 18 holes of golf, the exciting day continued with snacks and the award presentations.

Door prizes were given out before this year’s Dottie Kelso Scholarship award was presented to MCHS graduate Allison Hobbs in the amount of $1,000.

“This event was a great success and we hope next year’s will be even greater,’ Robinson said. “Thanks to everyone who had a part, made a donation, entered a team, or whatever part you played in making the Dottie Kelso Scholarship Fund a success.”

“We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year on July 27 at the Saddle Creek Golf Course.”
