Betty Jean Carlton
Mrs. Betty Jean Carlton, 47, of the Farmington community of Marshall Co., died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, following an extended illness. Born in Marshall Co., Mrs. Carlton was a daughter of Milton Whaley and the late Patsy Sharp Whaley. She was formerly an assembly worker at Christian Brands in Lewisburg and was a member of the New Life Church of Lewisburg. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Cody Carlton, her grandfather, Roy Campbell and father-in-law, Marvin Carlton. She is survived by her husband, Bubba Carlton of the Farmington community; three sons, Joshua Carlton, Matthew (Brianna) Carlton and Stephen Carlton all of the Farmington community; her father, Milton Whaley of the Farmington Community; two sisters, Tammy (Charlie) Crosslin and Elizabeth (Jeff) Morris of the Farmington community; a brother, Brian (Amanda) Whaley of the Wheel community; two honorary sisters, Debbie Wright and Tanya Mertens.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Lawrence Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Whaley Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Mark, Jason, Justin and Jacob Wright, Kenneth Robison and Andy Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Mark Messenger, Dr. Dwayne Fults, nieces and nephews.
