James Thomas Harber, Jr.
James Thomas Harber, Jr., 74, passed away at his residence in Lewisburg, TN on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018. James was born on Oct. 15, 1943, to James and Mecca Elizabeth Thomas Harber, Sr. in Chapel Hill, TN. He was retired from Lewisburg Machine and was a well known auto mechanic. He loved baseball, the mountains, and racing cars.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Harber, Sr. and a sister, Mary Ann Harber. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Davis Harber; five daughters, Nichelle (Todd) Curtis, Brandy Leigh Harber, Ashlyn Harber, Elizabeth Kay (Matthew) Coulter, Kelly Renea (Mateo) Mendoza of all of Lewisburg, TN; a sister, Carolyn Parrish, Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday following the visitation at 1 p.m. with Don Phillips officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Holder, Cameron Garner, David Greer, Darrin Brown, Shannon McLean, Tony Haines, Steve (Woody) Woodard, Daniel Bryan, Mike Francis, Bill Hurt, Damon Craig, and Wayne Hazlett. Cremation will follow.
