• A volunteer with the Tennessee State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) will be available at the Marshall County Senior Citizens Center to help Medicare recipients evaluate Medicare Part D (drug) plans, Medicare Advantage plans, and other Medicare issues on the following dates: October 16, 23, 30; November 7, 13, 21, 27; December 4. Medicare recipients can change plans during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7. Call the Marshall County Senior Center at 931-359-1808 to make an appointment.

• Oct 12 - 31 - Malice-Haunted Attraction in new location at 1777 Nix Road, Lewisburg, behind Hi-Way 50 Drive-In; October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 and Halloween night, Oct 31 is Kids Night-no scare actors. Nov 3 is Encore Night; Admission $10 each; ticket sales 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

• Oct 12 - 13 - 16th Annual Goats, Music & More Festival at Rock Creek Park, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. Main stage music starts Friday at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 12:30 p.m. There will be crafts, food, games, and of course, music and goats. Look for brochure in the October 8th Shopper.

• Oct 13 - Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host their Annual Fish Fry, Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

• Oct 13 - MCHS Class of 1988 will have their 30 year reunion, Saturday 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the TWHBEA Auditorium.

• Oct 14 - Community Wide Fall Festival, hosted by several community churches in Chapel Hill, Sunday 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., in front of Forrest High School. There will be free hot dogs, games and inflatables for the children.

• Oct 19 - MCHS Tigers & Tigerettes basketball teams are hosting a Chili Supper Fundraiser, Friday, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Lewisburg Recreation Center. Dine in or take-out; tickets $10.

• Oct 20 - The Revelators, the Gospel Singing Group from Alabama, will be having a reunion with all of the previous members that can attend. The reunion will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Petersburg Methodist Church on Church Street. Gospel singing with food and fellowship after the singing. EVERYONE is INVITED.
