• Vendors needed at the Bow Wow Bash, a Fundraiser for Animal Rescue Assistance Team of Tennessee, which will be held on Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This will be held at the Blue Barn Venue, off of I-65, exit 37. Contact There will be vendors, food, entertainment, a pooch pageant, adoption fair, silent auction, wine & beer garden.

• Vendors needed at the Westhills School Fall Bazaar which will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Booth rental is $25 for a 10 X 10 space. Vendors keep 100% of the profits. Deadline for rental is Nov. 2. Contact Angela Henley Lohr at for information.

• The MCHS Band is taking orders for fruits and cheesecakes. Turn in date is Nov. 14 and orders will be in on Dec. 7. Contact Brent Poindexter at 931-359-1549 for more information.

• Recycle bins that were behind Walgreens have been moved to the parking area behind the Marshall County Memorial Library.

• At the Marshall County Memorial Library: Oct 26 - Family Story Time in Chapel Hill at 10 a.m.; Oct 27 - Crochet Club at 10 a.m., Anime Afternoon at 2 p.m.; Oct 30 - Adult Paint Night at 6 p.m.; Nov 3 - Reading with Dad 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

• Oct 26 - Grief Support Group Potluck Meeting at Westvue Church of Christ, 6 p.m. Leslie Shadrick will be this month’s guest speaker.

• Oct 26 - 31 - Malice-Haunted Attraction in new location at 1777 Nix Road, Lewisburg, behind Hi-Way 50 Drive-In; October 26, 27 and Halloween night, Oct 31 is Kids Night-no scare actors. Nov 3 is Encore Night; Admission $10 each; ticket sales 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

• Nov 1 - South Central Human Resource Agency will distribute commodities Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to elgible area residents on a first come, first serve basis. The distribution will take place at HOPETOWN, 330 5th Av, North. An updated commodity paper is required. The SCHRA office is located at 1572 Old Columbia Road.

• Nov 3 - Reading with Dad, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., presented by Centerstone, in partnership with the Marshall County Memorial Library. Bring your child for a light lunch, a puppet show and story time.

• Nov 3 - St. James P.B. Church choir will celebrate their choir anniversary Saturday, at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend; located at 813 Silver St, Lewisburg.

• Nov 10 - Masonic Lodge, 131 East Commerce St., will host a fish fry Saturday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cost is $10; take-out or dine-in.
