Gerald Rayford Pollock
Mr. Gerald Rayford Pollock, 83, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Pollock was a native of Lawrence County, the son of the late William Ladd and Nora Lee Forsythe Pollock. He retired from Mead Containers and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served his country while in the Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Becky Pollock. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Kathleen Tidwell Pollock; one daughter, Kathy Chumbley of Lewisburg; three sons, Gerald D. Pollock of Lewisburg, Wendell Pollock of Chapel Hill, and William Pollock of Petersburg; three sisters, Faye Pollock of Lawrenceburg, Janice Bradham of Earlville, IL, and Barbara Hollis of Culleoka; two brothers, Chris Pollock and Don Pollock both of Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at 11 a.m, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began on Sunday afternoon from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will continue on Monday until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion or St. Jude’s Hospital.
