Burnice Dwight McCord
Burnice Dwight McCord, 71, of Nashville, TN, passed away Dec. 30, 2018, following a lengthy illness with ALS. He was the son of the late James Willie (Snooks) and Maude L. McCord of Chapel Hill, TN.
Dwight was a four year veteran of the U. S. Army and a retiree from Ford Motor Company in Wixon, MI.
Dwight leaves his heartfelt love and memories to his daughter, Jacquelyn Fisher Woods-Reed (Amara McKell) of Nashville; son, Dwight (Valecia) Smith of Henderson, NV; step-daughter, Monika (Keith) Moo-Young; mother, Maude L. McCord of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Mary Cain and Jeanette McCord, all of Detroit, MI; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Vernon M.B. Church in Chapel Hill. The funeral service followed at noon with Pastor Frank Stevenson officiating with interment in Egypt Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
