Bennett Adams Rye
Bennett Adams Rye, 58, of Nashville, TN, passed away Feb. 10, 2019. Bennett was a member of Woodmont Hills Church; formerly active in prison ministry, youth ministry, and Room in the Inn. He was a teacher and coach at Marshall County and Rutherford County Schools and was employed by Lipscomb University. He graduated with a B.S. Degree from Lipscomb University and a Masters Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He was an avid musician and baseball coach.
Preceded in death by father, Ralph Dexter Rye. Survived by his wife, Alicia Burgess Rye; daughter, Morgan Virginia Moore (Luke); son, Burgess Adams Rye; mother, Imogene Adams Rye; sister, Judy Dexter Rye (Paul Deakin); brother, Les Rye (Lauran); three nieces and five nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Road. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, Cornersville, TN, at 2 p.m. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
