In Whaley’s three years at Forrest, the Rockets are 73-37-1 and have three region titles, two district championships, and have made two state tournament appearances. Whaley had big state tournament last season as the designated hitter for Forrest, going 5-for-7 with four runs scored, 2RBI’s, and two bases on balls. Whaley was also a member of the dominating Marshall County Bombers Babe Ruth League All-Star team that appeared in two SE Region Tournaments and was a member of the Forrest golf team. Whaley will be the full-time first baseman for the Rockets this season and the big righty will also see plenty of time on the mound.
