Samuel Eugene “Spook” Clark

Samuel Eugene “Spook” Clark, 85, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at NHC Coolsprings.

Spook was a native of Culleoka, Tn, and he was the son of the late Lloyd and Ida Jones Clark. He was a retired rural mail carrier, a member and elder of the Farmington Church of Christ, a veteran of the US Army, and former coach of the Dixie Youth H&S and Marshall County Spookette softball teams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Orr Clark; sisters, Ethel Warren, Erma Blackburn, Elizabeth Maupin, and Evelyn Clark; and brothers, Earl and Ewing Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Clark Tidwell of Franklin; grandson, Garrett Samuel Tidwell; granddaughter, AnnaGrace Ashlee Tidwell; brothers-in-law, James Maupin and Chuck Warren; and sisters-in-law, Martha Short, Shelia Orr, and June Orr. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial with military honors to follow in Temple Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday until the funeral hour.
