The Forrest Rockets took it to the limit Monday night at Nolensville in the District 12-AA winnerís bracket, falling late in a 4-3 loss to the host Knights.

The Rockets scored one run in each of the first three innings, but could not push anymore runners across home plate in the final four innings.

The Rockets left nine runners on base in the contest while the Knights stranded five.

Cody Sisk turned in a yeomanís effort on the mound for Forrest, tossing the first four innings.

Sisk gave up four runs on seven hits while striking out three and walking one Nolensville batter before freshman Kain Moses came on to pitch two scoreless innings.

Blaize Sweeney had a huge night at the dish for the Rockets, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, including a solo home run to lead off the second inning.

Brett Burnham walked to lead off the contest and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Max Kirby before scooting to third on a passed ball.

Ethan Mealer drove in Burnham with the gameís first run on a base hit to left field.

The Knights came back with a three-run third inning to take the lead before the Rockets tied it up in the top of the third inning with Burnham setting the table again when he was hit by a pitch to lead off the stanza.

Kirby reached on an error to put Forrest runners on first and second and they both advanced a base after a Mealer sacrifice bunt.

Grayson Whaley walked to load the sacks before Sweeney drove in Burnham with an RBI shot to left field.

Nolensville escaped any further damage when they came up with an inning ending double play.

Both starting hurlers tossed a 1-2-3 fourth inning and the Rockets left one runner on base in the top of the fifth.

In the home half of the inning, Nolensville took the lead after Tyler Smith doubled leading off the frame and Jackson Hill followed with the go-ahead base hit.

The Rockets left the bases loaded with two-outs in the sixth inning and two-on and two-out in the seventh as the Knights (17-14) advanced to the District 12-AA title game.

The Rockets are looking to bounce back and make it through the loserís bracket of the District 12-AA Tournament at Nolensville.

Forrest (13-11-1) took on Giles County (12-12) in the loserís bracket on Tuesday at Nolensville.
