Marcus Ben “Mark” Blalock
Marcus Ben “Mark” Blalock, 57, of Lewisburg, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, May 20, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Blalock was born May 6, 1962, in Lewisburg, the son of Mr. Melvin Thomas Blalock and Mrs. Joyce Holder Blalock of Lewisburg.
He is survived by wife of 37 years, Amy Haislip Blalock; parents; one daughter, Amber Blalock of Lewisburg; one son, Daniel (Lindsey) Blalock; sisters, Monica “Monty” (Barry) Thompson of Lewisburg, Anita (Frankie) Harwell of Culleoka; brothers, Mike (Estell) Blalock of Shelbyville, and Leslie (Trina) Blalock of Lewisburg; two step-grandchildren, Emerson and Parker; nieces and nephews, Kris Blalock, Tyler Blalock, Jason Curry, Tiffany Curry, Jessica Thompson Newton, Benton Thompson, Cole Blalock, Travis Childers, and Hunter Haislip; thirteen great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lance Blalock in 1988, and his grandparents, Leslie and Melvine Blalock and Alonzo and Ora Mae Holder.
Mark was a 1980 graduate of Cornersville High School. He was a faithful member and Christian of Westvue Church of Christ. Mark was a deacon there and also lead singing. Mark loved his family and worked hard his whole life to provide and take care of them. He mowed for many places, taking pride in his work. He was also an employee of Westrock as a Die Room Operator. He loved riding his motorcycle with his wife Amy.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 1 p.m. from Westvue Church of Christ, 1710 West Commerce St. Lewisburg, TN 37091 with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday May 23, 2019, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Westvue and will continue on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
