The Tennessee State Lions Clubs gathered in Memphis, Tennessee on May 3-4, 2019 for their annual State Convention.

A part of this convention is recognitions of Lions from across the State of Tennessee whom has shown exceptional service to Lionism statewide and to their local club and community.

This year, Lion Ron Anderson of the Chapel Hill Lions Club was awarded the District 12-I Lion of the Decade Award for his many years of service to the Chapel Hill Lions Club, Middle Tennessee District 12-I and to the State Association of Lions.

Lion Anderson has served in many different capacities over the last few years, including District 12-I Governor as well as Council Chairman for the Multiple District Council of Governors.

He and his Wife, Celia, also a Lions Club member, represent Chapel Hill, Marshall County and all of Middle Tennessee well. They are very active in working with the Tennessee School for the Blind and many other sight conservation projects that are the main focus of Lions Clubs worldwide.

The members of the Chapel Hill Lions Club and the Chapel Hill Community are very happy that Lion Anderson has received the recognition that is so well deserved.
