Donald Lee "Don" Derryberry
Donald Lee “Don” Derryberry, 84, of Marshall County passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. He was born in Pulaski on October 2, 1934. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He faithfully served as a member of Cornersville Baptist Church for 42 years, retired from Teledyne, Lewisburg, TN, and TV sales and service in Pulaski, TN. He was also a previous member of the Giles County Rescue Squad and Civil Defense.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Short Cemetery in Cornersville, TN with burial following. Memorial donations were suggested to Cornersville First Baptist Church, 2966 Pulaski Highway, Cornersville, TN 37047.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Francis Louise Hyatt Derryberry; sister, Peggy Jamieson; and mother of his children, Martha Ann Derryberry. He is survived by his wife, Edna Derryberry of Lewisburg, two sons, Cecil Derryberry of Pulaski and Charles Brashears, Jr. of Nashville; four daughters, Catherine (Pat) Dunnavant of Pulaski, Cheryl (Johnny) McClung of Athens, AL, Kathie (Mike) Hall of Cullman, AL, Donna (Jeff) Williams of Pulaski; six grandsons, Tyler (Katherine) Derryberry of Pulaski, Nathan (Hannah) Dunnavant of Athens, AL, Clifton Tatum of Athens, AL, Phillip Tatum of Huntsville, AL, Charlie (Margaret) Sanford of Brentwood, Bryan Williams of Pulaski; two granddaughters, Samantha (Matt) Young of Cullman, AL and Katelyn Williams of Pulaski; one sister, Jean Spears of Pulaski. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
