Bobby was born and raised in 1932, in Delina, TN, a small community just outside of Lewisburg, TN where his family had a small dairy farm. He passed from this earth on Oct. 20, 2022 in Spring Hill, TN. He and his wife, Betty, resided in Winchester for approximately 50 years and were members of First Baptist Church there until 2013. However you knew him. “Pop,” Tokie or Bobby, believed in working hard to earn what you have, being loyal to your family and relationships as well as your career. He was part of the “Silent Generation” and was stable and dependable. He was a rural route carrier for over 30 years in Decherd, TN and had a small tax business in Decherd until 2013.

He loved his daughter, Lisa, and grandchildren more than anything. He was the definition of a true friend. He passed peacefully at The Reserve at Spring Hill on October 20, 2022, and was met at heaven’s gates by his love, Betty Edmondson, whom he shared 65 years of marriage with. He is preceded in death by his parents, Laymon B. and Mary Pigg Edmondson; brother, Brandon Edmondson; sister, Gerolene Gatlin, and wife, Betty Edwards Edmondson. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Edmondson Sparks; grandson, Whitaker Sparks (Crosbie); granddaughter, Abby Sparks McSpirit (Sean); great-grandson, Stokes McSpirit; and sister, Elizabeth Mealer (J.D.), as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. He was loved deeply and his presence will be missed so much.
