Mrs. Dorlene Flye Burgess, 92, of Cornersville, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at Marshall Medical Center.
She was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late James Dallas and Bessie Adams Flye. She was a farmer, retired owner of H&R Block, and a member of the Cornersville First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Burgess and a brother, Bobby Flye.
She is survived by one daughter, Vanessa (Seth) Warf, of Lewisburg; one son, Tony (Kim) Burgess, of Cornersville; one brother, Thurston Flye of Cornersville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. from New Hope at Ostella with burial to follow.
Visitation with the family will begin Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Cornersville Funeral Home from noon until 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Ostella Cemetery Memorial Fund and the Cornersville Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
Cornersville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
