Dukes opens Huntington Learning Center in Murfreesboro

Huntington Learning Center has opened a brand new center in Murfreesboro.

As the newest member of the Huntington family, Cedric Dukes, owner of the Murfreesboro Huntington, says he is eager to help students succeed in school.

“I’m honored to become a part of this amazing organization with a long-standing commitment to helping students do better in school,” says Dukes. “Huntington aligns with my own personal values and I’m so happy to pursue this fulfilling and important work in my community. We’re excited to open our doors to the public and get started on our mission to give every student the best education possible.”

Huntington Learning Center of Murfreesboro will offer personalized instruction to students from kindergarten through 12th grade to help them improve their grades, test scores and confidence in math, reading, phonics, writing, science, and study skills. The center will also offer preparation for the ACT and SAT, as well as state and standardized exams.

The center is located at 2812 Old Fort Parkway, Suite K, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.

Dukes is the son of Roy and Louise Dukes of Lewisburg, TN. Dukes is a 1986 graduate of Marshall County High School. He grew up serving as a young deacon board member, choir member, and usher at Greater First Baptist in Lewisburg. Dukes went on to college at the United States Military Academy in West Point and then later attended and graduated Magna Cum Lade from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Dukes received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit. Dukes rose through the ranks as an engineer to become a senior manager within General Motors, over an almost 20 year career with the auto maker. He is the author of four books. Cedric is married to Esterlene Naylor Dukes. They have two wonderful young adults, Preston and Charlene.
