Mrs. Evelyn June Collins, 91, of the Verona community, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Rose Farrar, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was a native of Davidson County, the daughter of the late Frank Galvin Hayes and Mary Isabelle Elrod Hayes. A former employee of Genesco Shoe Company in Chapel Hill, she worked as an order puller and later retired from Tyson Foods Company after 16 years of service. She enjoyed her grandkids, gardening, canning, fishing, her dolls, pets, going with her friends to wrestling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Lee Collins in 2009; two sisters, Betty Jo Kelley and Gracie Lee Tipper; one brother, George Hoyle Hayes; three grandsons, John Kevin Haislip, Charles Randal Collins, and John Steven Blackwell; two great-grandsons, Richard Dumont Young and Austin Collins-McKinney, along with her beloved pets, Trixie and Petey.

She is survived by four daughters, Patsy Ann Collins Gulley of Bradyville, TN, Betty Faye Collins Gevedon of Lewisburg, Mary Rosalee Collins (Ernie) Farrar of Lewisburg, and Janice Kay Collins (Gary) Parrish of Lewisburg; two sons, Charles Hubert (Sheila) Collins of Shelbyville and Jackie Ray (Dana) Collins of Lewisburg; twelve grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; eight step-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 21, 2021, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091 with burial following in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family began Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and continued Monday until the funeral hour.

London Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements.
