Mr. Hal Manier, 75, of the Holts Corner community of Marshall Co., died Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Born in Marshall Co., Mr. Manier was the son of the late Don Miller Manier and Mary Josephine Fuller Manier. Hal received a bachelors degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a masters degree from Louisiana State University. He was a chemist having retired from Vanderbilt Research. Hal was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church having served on the administrative board and as a liturgist. He was a long time member of the Chapel Hill Masonic Lodge #160 and held several offices during his tenure in the Lodge. In addition to his profession, he spent his life dedicated to and caring for his family. He loved the family farm and enjoyed tending to the plants and tending to a garden. To all who had the privilege to know him, he was a wonderful example of a man of unblemished character who showed this through his kindness, humbleness, honesty and consideration of others. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Manier of the Holts Corner community; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
