Mr. Jay Dennis Curry, 58, of Hohenwald, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Oct. 16, 2019. Mr. Curry was born April 10, 1961 in Linden, TN to Mrs. Peggy Curry and the late Joel Dennis Curry. Jay worked 20 years as a maintenance machinist for Sanford Corp. During this time, he received several certificates from TCAT. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and working with his hands. Mr. Curry was born April 10, 1961 in Linden, TN to Mrs. Peggy Curry and the late Joel Dennis Curry. Jay worked 20 years as a maintenance machinist for Sanford Corp. He is remembered as being a great provider and for loving his family.
Mr. Curry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa Curry of Hohenwald; one son, Jacob (Abbey) Curry of Lewisburg; one daughter, Brandy (Steve) Griffis of Cornersville, TN; one sister, Denise (Dennis) Curry Maxwell of Show Low, AZ; grandchildren, Casey Griffis and Jayden Curry; a niece, Rachel (Thor) Pfeil of Prescott Valley, AZ and a great-niece Evie Pfeil. Jay also leaves behind several loving extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to Moms on a Mission based out Lewisburg, TN, a mission near and dear to the family’s heart who supports local veterans of middle Tennessee. Checks can be made out to: Moms on a Mission, 863 Yell Rd., Lewisburg, TN 37091
A graveside memorial service will take place at a later date.
