John Lewis Perry, 86, of Leoma, TN passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at STRHS Lawrenceburg after an extended illness. He was a native of Marshall County, TN, a veteran of the National Guard, Kroger Company Meat Dept Manager for 44 Years, member of Lakeview Baptist Church, and a member of the Elks Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Frank and Rachel Marie Cherry Perry; wife, Bessie Carpenter Perry; brothers, Tommy Perry and Raymond Perry; sister, Louise Farler.
Mr. Perry is survived by his son, Glenn Perry of Houston, TX; daughter, Vickie (Howard) Barnett of Leoma; sister, Sandra Perry of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Natalie Newlander of Denver, CO and Jacqueline Perry of Houston, TX; one great-grandchild, Ashlyn Perry-Culp of Houston, TX.
Visitation will be Nov. 2, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel, Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
