Mary Helen Darnell, 88, of Petersburg, TN, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at her home.
She was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late Odell Cozart and Annie Bell Rodgers Cozart. She was employed by Jimmy’s Deli for 15 years and provided childcare in her home for seven years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Compton and son, Edward Forrest Darnell, Jr.; husband, Edward Darnell, and step-great grandchild, Dane Pickle.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Brashears of Lewisburg and Lorrie (Jim) Harrison of Petersburg; grandchildren, Shadrick Brashears and Matthew Brashears both of Lewisburg; one step-granddaughter, Jill (Danny) Pickle of Lewisburg; great grandsons, Aven Brashears and Keats Brashears; one step-great granddaughter, Taylor Pickle of Lewisburg.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery Lewisburg, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
