MCHS closure

Marshall County High School will be moving to entirely online classes for the next two weeks.

Director of Schools Jacob Sorrells announced that MCHS will move to virtual learning only between Aug. 17 and Aug. 28.

MCHS has, as of Friday morning, 107 students quarantined for exposure to positive COVID-19 cases after one full week of school.

Sorrells had told the Board of Education earlier this year that closing individual schools as a response to coronavirus spread could be necessary.

The move to online learning will not impact athletic events, at this time.
