Minnie Mildred McLain was born on Feb. 3, 1929, to John Henry McLean and Ina E. Mayberry McLean. She passed from this earth on Oct. 30, 2022.
She attended Second Avenue Church of Christ and worked as a surgical tech at Taylor’s Hospital for 22 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John H. and Ina McLean; her husband, Henry H. McLain; sister, Louise Hightower Nelson; and a many other family members and extended family members.
She is survived by three sons, Lester (Dorothy), Wendell (Jackie), Aaron (Patricia) McClain of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Pauline Armstrong of Maryland; brother, Harvey (Edna) McLean of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; Valerie (Gary) Davis, Sharon (Johnny) Whitaker, John Wayne Hightower, and a host of other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held Nov. 6, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Second Avenue Church of Christ.
Mayberry & Sons Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
