Thompson leads Rockets to win at Horton

CHAPEL HILL — In a quad-match featuring Cornersville and Forrest, the Forrest Rockets claimed another win on the season and were led by match medalist Sebastian Thompson’s round-low score of 40.
The Rockets shot a combined 173 to win the match.
Noah Brown turned in a 46 for the Rockets, while Bryson Smith was two strokes off the round-low with a 42.
Kelton Grubbs finished his round with a 45.
For the Bulldogs, Micah Riddle turned in the low score to lead Cornersville with a 45, while Caden Downs finished his round with a 56.
Brax Hunter also shot a 61 for Cornersville.
For the girls, its as a dual to the finish between the Lady Rockets and Lady Bulldogs, with the Lady Bulldogs edging out a four-stroke victory.
Annabelle Mulliniks shot a 43 to lead Cornersville to a 94 final score, with Braylen Powers carding a 51.
For Forrest, Maggie Brown’s 44 was the low score, with Ava Edmondson turning in a 54.
