The official GED practice test will be given in Lewisburg on Saturday, October 28 at 8:30 a.m. This test is a state requirement of all candidates planning to take the official GED exam. The OPT is provided FREE by the Marshall County Adult Learning Center lcoated in the Spot Lowe Vocational and Technical School. A photo ID is required, and plan to stay approximately five hours. This project is funded under an agreement with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development and Marshall County Schools.

The Marshall County 4-H Community Clubs will be selling fresh, fragrant Holiday Evergreens as a 4-H fundraiser until October 30th. If you would like live evergreens for this holiday season please contact the UT Extension - Marshall County office at 359-1929 or come by the office at 230 College Street, Suite 130 in Lewisburg. Greens are expected the week of December the 4th.

GED class orientation and enrollement will be held Monday, November 6, 6 p.m. and Tuesday November 7, 8:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Adult Learning Center.

There no fees, and classes are available weekday mornings and evenings. The ALC entrance is located on the backside of the Spot Lowe Vocational School, 1771 Jason Maxwell Blvd. For more information call 359-7609.

The Town of Cornersville will celebrate Halloween with Trick or Treating on Saturday, October 28th. Halloween in the Park, sponsored by the Cornersville Lions Club will begin at 6:00 p.m.
