Lewisburg Rotary Club and the Kansas City Barbecue Society will host a Certified Barbecue Judges class from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at Southside Market. The class will prepare participants to be a certified judge for the Barbecue Cook Off at the 2008 Goats Music and More Festival. The Town of Chapel Hill Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 3, at the Police and Fire Department, 119 North Horton Pkwy, to hear comments on the Plan of Services for property that is requesting annexation. The Planning Commission will hold their regular monthly meeting immediately following the public hearing.

Marshall County Memorial Library will start Bouncing Babies, a lap sit story time program for children six months to two years old, at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 6. The Care Kitchen of Marshall County serves a free hot meal from 6 to 7 p.m. every Thursday in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church, 325 West Church St. The church is seeking other churches to join the Care Kitchen.
