Growing by leaps and bounds

it's beautiful. Let's hope it stays that way. Chapel Hill is growing by leaps and bounds. Another new business opened July 1. "Silver Linings" has opened at the corner of Depot Street and Horton Parkway. I'm sure many of you remember the "Depot Station Café." That's the building. Beverly Helfand is the owner/operator. The best description for "Silver Linings" is "a unique shopping experience." You'll find a variety of items including jewelry, handbags, baby gifts, religious items, china, crystal, toys, children's books, pictures, lamps, and linens, all at reasonable prices. Visit this weekend during their grand opening celebration and enjoy complimentary cookies and punch while you shop. You may also register for a beautiful gift basket to be given away Aug. 1. You do not have to be present to win. Silver Linings will be adding new merchandise weekly. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We all know time for the Tractor Pull is almost here. The shop will be open extended hours that weekend and will carry Tractor Pull souvenirs.

Beverly has had quite a few visitors since she opened Monday and is looking forward to many more!

Speaking of the Tractor Pull, it will take place Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19. The action begins each night at 7 p.m. This is a big weekend for Chapel Hill, and where do the benefits from this event go? CHAPEL HILL!

If you've made other plans for that weekend, change them and go to the Tractor Pull...Pick up a copy of today's edition, Friday, July 4, 2008 for entire newsletter.
