Billy Ross Tankersley, 73, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at Maury Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of William Tankersley and Elaine Jones Tankersley. He was a family minister at the Church Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents; his wife of 45 years, “Cookie” Tankersley; one son, James (Cortney) Tankersley; one daughter, Elizabeth Poarch; four grandchildren, Maci Poarch, Colman Brothers, John David Ross Tankersley, and Andi Leigh Tankersley.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at 2 p.m. from Church Street Church of Christ with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
Visitation with the family began Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Church Street Church of Christ and continued Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

London Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements.
