Bridge named for local WWII vet
The State of Tennessee honored long-time Archer resident Albert D. Whitaker on Tuesday with the dedication of a bridge over Richland Creek on State Route 272. Whitaker, who is now 93 years old, is a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Pacific.
