• Nov 3 - The Marshall County Historical Society will meet Sunday afternoon, at 2 p.m. in the historical museum at the Hardison School Annex. Daniel Phillip Whitaker, an assistant attorney general for the State of Tennessee, will present the program on the Battle of Kings Mountain, where his Whitaker ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. The meeting is free and open to the public.

• Nov 9 - Lynnville’s 15th annual Christmas Village will be held Saturday at the Lynnville Municipal Building from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors wanting a booth may call 931-527-3466; booth rental is $10. A Christmas lunch will be served, $7 a plate; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
