Special to the Tribune

The Town of Chapel Hill is very proud to have a new library that has something for everyone's reading enjoyment, with over 1,500 titles to choose from.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held during the Grand Opening on Saturday, April 6, with Mayor Carl Cooper on hand to cut the ribbon and Town Administrator Mike Hatten officiating. Throughout the four hours of the Open House, many members of the community stopped by to see this latest effort of the Town of Chapel Hill leaders to make Chapel Hill an ever better place to live. All were very excited to have a library in their community, and had a nice time visiting with neighbors, while enjoying the refreshments set up by Chapel Hill Community Center Director Carol Hale, and her wonderful group of tireless volunteers.

All books are ready for the community to enjoy. All you have to do is register with a library volunteer who will be there Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you will be able to check out as many as 10 books at one time. The new library is adjacent to the Chapel Hill Community Center at 206 Depot Street. For more information, call 364-2600.
