Michael Martinez, chairman of the United Auto Workers Retirees Chapter #1853, presented Lewisburg Police Captain Rebekah Mitchell with close to 40 winter coats for community children. The coats will be distributed during the Cops for Kids event on December 10 to kids who need one by Lewisburg Police officers. Martinez and the UAW retirees have been supporting Lewisburg's Cops For Kids program since 1994, providing winter coats since 2002. This year the retirees raised almost $2,800 in donations from members toward the coat purchases.
