Cornersville Middle School and Cornersville High School would like to announce the January 2017 Students of the Month. They are eighth grader Luke Terry and junior Alexus Spafford. Luke’s teachers speak highly of him as a well-mannered, polite young man who is always willing to help others and often steps in to assist when it would be easier to turn the other way. Luke never complains or makes excuses in class or on the baseball field. Luke is truly a remarkable young man. Alexus gives of her own time to assist students who are struggling in classes where she excels. She is respectful and cooperative to her fellow students, teachers, coaches, and advisers. Alexus never settles for any less that her best. In one teachers words, “Good enough is not enough for Alexus.” The Cornersville Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Cornersville McDonald’s restaurant which provides each selected student with a t-shirt and food coupons.
