Cited for dogs running at large

* Margaret A. Gardner, 49, Petersburg. Court date: March 26. Three registered black Angus cattle, worth a total of $7,500, were allegedly attacked and killed by three bull dogs which belonged to Gardner, according to the report by Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Layne Worsham. The dogs have been euthanized, and Gardner has offered to pay for the dead cows.

Arrested on multiple warrants

* Emmett L. Roseman Jr., 24, 5th Avenue North. Held without bond for the next Circuit Court date. The warrants included two failure-to-appear warrants from Marshall County General Sessions Court, five bench warrants from Marshall County Circuit Court, one probation-violation warrant from Maury County Circuit Court, and one Bedford County General Sessions warrant for conspiracy to distribute a Schedule II drug. Bedford and Maury counties also placed holds on Roseman, according to the report by Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Drew Binkley.

Thefts and vandalism reported

* On March 9, an 18-month-old female Yorkshire terrier, worth $2,000, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in a neighbor's field near her owner's home in Chapel Hill. The dog's owner reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Doug McBay he thought the neighbor had shot the dog.

* A Lewisburg woman reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department her H&R Block tax rebate card, worth $898, was stolen by a woman she loaned her truck to. The victim also accused the other woman of taking two speakers and an amp, worth $200, from the truck. The case has been turned over to Marshall County Sheriff's detectives reported Deputy Freddie Darnell.

* Between 3 and 3:45 p.m. March 8, someone tried to break into a home on Windwood Drive. Five hundred dollars worth of damage was done to the door and door frame, and a heavy-duty truck battery worth $200 was stolen from outside the house.

* A woman from Prospect had her wallet stolen from her purse while it was in the break room at her workplace in Lewisburg. Her CB&S Bank debit card was then used at Hibbett Sports and twice at Family Dollar for a total of $525.41. Lewisburg Police Department has the description of the woman who used the card, and the tag number of her car.

* Between 7 and 8 p.m. March 10 the glass front door of a home on Haynes Street was shattered. It will cost $450 to replace.

* The paint on the front door handle of a Lewisburg woman's car was chipped while it was parked at 200 Tiger Boulevard. The victim estimates it will cost $100 to repair the paint.

* A Lewisburg woman reported to Lewisburg Police Department she was informed by her bank that someone tried to change her bank account to an address in Texas City, Texas, and got two debit cards sent there. The debit cards have been cancelled, and no money was withdrawn from the account, but the identity thief has the victim's Social Security number, according to the bank.

Arrested and charged with shoplifting from Walmart

* Desaray N. Harris, 27, Belfast Avenue. Bond: $2,500; court date: April 8.

* Alisha R. Swesey, 30, Belfast Avenue. Bond: $2,500; court date: April 8. The two women were caught leaving the store with two shopping carts, containing 150 items worth a total of $1,658.14, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Jennifer McDonald. "They both then made statements that they were poor and needed to steal things to support their children," McDonald wrote.

* Jonathan W. Coward, 32, Hull Avenue. Held without bond for court on March 11.
