Arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and resisting stop-halt-frisk-arrest
* Eric L. Blackwell, 25, Belfast. Bond: $17.000; court date: May 20. Lewisburg Police Officer Shaun Crawford reported he spotted Blackwell in the Walmart parking lot on April 25 and tried to arrest him on warrants from Montgomery County, but Blackwell took off running. Crawford saw Blackwell drop something before he caught up with him. The Police Department's dog Roccon located two small bags Blackwell dropped. One contained a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, and the contents of the other field tested positive for cocaine.
Thefts and vandalism reported
* A Chapel Hill man reported to police a bag of sockets, a bag of assorted tools, and a Panasonic CD radio were missing from his 1991 Chevy truck when he went to pick it up from the man who had been working on it in Lewisburg. The battery was also missing. Total value of the missing items was $2,304.
* On April 27, someone slashed three tires and took the gas cap of a 2004 Chevy Avalanche while it was parked at a home on Franklin Road. Cost of replacing the tires and fuel cap is estimated at $575.
* A Lewisburg man reported his Gen 4 iPhone, worth $460, was taken from a table at Staffing Solutions while he was applying for a job on April 25.
* On April 22, a Wildgame Innovations trail camera worth $200 was intentionally damaged at a property on Finley Beech Road, and the memory card was removed.
* Sometime in the three days before April 25, a Bounty Hunter metal detector worth $109 was taken from a home on Beard Lane.
* About 5 p.m. April 22, a Lewisburg man allegedly took two family packs of steaks, priced at $32.50 each, from Kroger.
* On April 26, a man drove up to Hometown Grocery and placed two pot plants, worth $25 each, in the trunk of his car. A woman who was shopping in the store got into the car and they drove away. The store owner gave Lewisburg Police Officer John Christmas the woman's name.
* A Belfast woman's Ascend Federal Credit Union debit card number was used to pay for a $12.73 purchase at Krystal's on April 23, while she was picking up her children at school and had the card with her, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Dac Burrow.
* Between 4:30 p.m. April 24 and 7 a.m. April 25, a Lewisburg woman's wallet, containing a debit card and $5 cash, was taken from the break room at her workplace.

* Dustin M. Potts, 24, Columbia. Held without bond for court on May 8. Potts is charged with driving under the influence.
