Thefts and vandalism reported
* Between 7 p.m. May 31 and 6:45 a.m. June 1, a red Polaris Ranger worth $12,000 (serial number: 4XARD50A65D730956) was stolen from the garage of a home in Culleoka. The victim told Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Freddie Darnell he didn't hear anything, but the garage door was open and the keys were left in the ATV.
* A Lewisburg woman told Marshall County Sheriff's Department Citibank/Home Depot called to advise her someone had stolen her identity, taken out a Home Depot card, and charged $4,119.74 to it the same day. Someone tried to open two other store credit cards using her identity the same day, but these were denied by the bank.
* A Lewisburg businesswoman cashed a check for a man who works for her husband, but the check turned out to be fraudulent. At first the man said he would pay her back, but the last time she talked to him, he stated, "I am not paying you anything; do what you need to," according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Anthony McLean. The amount of the check, plus fees, is $3,954.
* Between April 20 and June 1, $3,110 worth of equipment was taken from a property on Unionville Road. The missing items include a Troybilt pony mower, a Murray riding mower, a 28-inch push mower, a Craftsmen grass trimmer, a wheel barrow, four five-gallon gas containers, two two-gallon gas containers, and assorted hand tools.
* A Lewisburg woman left her car parked for three hours at Milltown on May 29. When she returned, her purse and all its contents, worth an estimated $300, were missing.
* A Columbia man reported to Lewisburg Police Department someone withdrew $200 from his account at Ascend Federal Credit Union at 9:52 a.m. May 28. The credit union informed the victim the man who got the money went through the drive-through, presented the victim's driver's license, and knew his password. The victim reported his driver's license was stolen in Marshall County a few months ago.
* Between 12:30 and 9:30 p.m. May 30, a black, red and white Chaos bicycle, with skulls on the bike and seat, worth $80, was stolen from a home on Jackson Avenue, where it was parked near the porch.
* In the evening of May 30, a mailbox was knocked off its post at a home on Manor Circle, and the post was knocked down, too. The trash can was also knocked over and its contents spilled in the street. Cost of replacing the mailbox and post will be $65.
* On June 2, a man walked out of Dollar General Market with a 12-pack of Bud Light beer, worth $12, and possibly some other merchandise, without paying for any of it. Surveillance video shows a man in dark shorts, a dark shirt, and a ball cap getting into a black Mercedes. Police have the license plate number of the car.
* The owner of a home on Hearthstone Drive, Chapel Hill, that was burglarized between May 20 and 24, notified Marshall County Sheriff's Department additional items had been stolen. These included rings, necklaces, bracelets, and a Case XX pocket knife. Values were not stated in Deputy Lori Haynes' report.
