Crime reports
After Lewisburg Police officers were called to a fight in progress outside Hillside Terrace Apartments about 3 a.m. July 7, the following arrests were made:
* Nathan Lee Perryman, 21, 3rd Avenue North. Bond: $5,000; court date: Aug. 5. Charges: assault, evading arrest, and criminal impersonation. Lewisburg police dog Roccon and Officer Clyde Ragsdale tracked Perryman for over 90 minutes before catching up with him on West Ellington Parkway, according to the report by Officer Clint Newbill.
* Jordan A. Beavers, 18, Shelbyville. Bond: $36,000; court date: Aug. 5. Charges: aggravated child abuse, domestic assault, two counts of assault, and evading arrest. Beavers also fled the scene of the fight on foot. An anonymous caller later told police dispatch Beavers was back at the apartments and he was arrested there.
Arrested on 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force Warrants
* Rodney L. Harris, 33, Chapel Hill. Bond: $17,000; court date: July 30. Charges: initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, simple possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.
Arrested at Marshall County Courthouse on warrants for aggravated domestic assault and child abuse
* Shelby L. Harris, 31, Silver Creek Road. Bond: $10,000; court date: Aug. 12. On June 30, Harris allegedly strangled his 12-year-old cousin and threw him to the ground, according to warrants written by Lewisburg Police Officer Jeremy Chapman.
Charged with vandalism of government property and assault on a corrections officer at Marshall County Jail
* Jason C. McCollum, 29, Woodlawn Avenue. Bond: $4,000; court date: July 9. On July 7, McCollum was allegedly beating a phone receiver against the wall in jail. When Corrections Officer Justin Christmas told McCollum he would have to go to lockdown, McCollum yelled vulgarities, jerked the phone loose, and threw it at the control tower window, where it shattered. A piece of the phone hit Christmas on the back of the head, according to the report by Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Jerry Hardin.
Arrested and charged with driving under the influence
* Sharon W. Ray, 57, Huntsville, Ala. Bond: $2,000; court date: July 23. Additional charge: driving on a suspended license. This is allegedly Ray's third or fourth DUI
Arrested and charged with public intoxication
* Jesse L. Stafford, 31, Boyette Avenue. Bond: $4,500; court date: Aug. 5. Additional charges: resisting stop-halt-frisk-arrest and criminal impersonation.
* Ronald W. Travis, 43, Verona Caney Road. Bond: $3,000; court date: Aug. 6. Additional charges: disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
* William L. Bess, 51, Marshall Street. Bond: $500; court date: Aug. 5.
Arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license
* Tyler L. Hart, 18, Belfast. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 5. Also cited for failure to provide proof of insurance and equipment violation (taillights blacked out by paint). A county road sign for "Adams Road" was found in Hart's car, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Mike Davis, and Hart admitted stealing it over two years ago. The sign was turned over to the Sheriff's Department.
Arrested and charged with domestic assault
* Norris Adam Endsley III, 24, Spring Place Road. Bond: $2,500; court date: Aug. 5.
* Harvey W. Byrd Jr., 34, Belfast Avenue. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 5.
On July 4, Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Drew Binkley saw cars in the New Lake parking area near the pavilion. After an investigation, the following arrests were made:
* Jeffery T. Clippard, 20, Hamilton, Ala. Bond: $2,000; court date: Aug. 27. Charge: underage consumption.
* Aaron F. Wiles, 21, McBride Road. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 27. Charge: furnishing alcohol to a minor.
* David M. Hargrove, 21, Hobo Shaw Road. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 27. Charge: furnishing alcohol to a minor.
* Asa P. Holton, 21, Kenny Nelson Road. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 27. Charge: furnishing alcohol to a minor.
* Thomas L. Wilson II, 20, Yell Road. Bond: $2,000; court date: Aug. 27. Charges: underage consumption and resisting stop-halt-frisk.
Thefts and vandalism reported
* A woman who has been in a Lewisburg nursing home since 1984 and is "brain dead" had a tax return filed using her information in 2010, and someone tried to get her brother, who lives in Florida, to pay a $910 deficiency on this return. Lewisburg Police detectives and the Internal Revenue Service are investigating this case.
* A Lewisburg man reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department he sent two GreenDot money orders for $395 each to a man who said he needed them for insurance before he could send the victim his $2.5 million payout from a Las Vegas casino. When the caller asked for another $2,000, the victim became suspicious and called law enforcement.
* A Lewisburg woman's Regions Bank debit card was stolen from her car and used for purchases of $134.78 and $5.34. Two pairs of sunglasses and $100 cash were also taken from the car, allegedly by "friends" who took the car for a drive.
* Between 3 and 4 p.m. July 2, a woman was working in her yard on Phillips Street and her Straight Talk LG cell phone, worth $200, disappeared. The victim told Lewisburg Police Officer Dac Burrow she tried calling her cell phone and "after two or three attempts a male voice answered and stated, 'Keep on and you gonna get killed,' and hung up."
* A man who lives on Finley Beech Road reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department someone stuck a knife in the left front tire of his truck, halfway between the tread and the rim, sometime between 10:30 p.m. July 6 and 11 a.m. July 7. The tire will cost over $100 to replace.

* Saquan M. Jameson, 34, Franklin Road. Bond: $500; court date: Aug. 5.
* Troy M. Hall, 35, address crossed out. Bond: $1,000; court date: July 23.
Arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant
* Walter D. Brooks, 44, 3rd Avenue North. Held without bond for court on July 8.
Cited for shoplifting from Dollar General Store
* Erica J. Braden, 34, Colburn Drive. Court date: Aug. 12.
Cited for shoplifting from Walmart
* Ginny L. Keel, 19, Columbia. Court date: Aug. 12.
