Served with warrants for reckless endangerment, filing a false report, and vandalism
* Benjamin Franklin Dees, 32, Yell Road. Bond: $8,000; court date: Sept. 17. According to the warrants filed by Jail Administrator Sabrina Patterson, on July 4, Dees broke three sprinkler heads off the fire suppression system in Block C of the jail, flooding that block, Block B, the hallway, the control room, and the camera room under the control tower. This put prisoners and staff members in danger, and caused the Lewisburg Fire Department to respond to a false fire alarm.
After a fight at a home on Old Farmington Road on Sept. 14, the following arrests were made:
* James R. Hargrove, 45, Tiger Boulevard. Bond: $500; court date: Dec. 9. Charge: assault.
* Danny R. Massey, 34, Columbia. Bond: $2,000; court date: Dec. 9. Charge: domestic assault. Massey was treated at Marshall Medical Center for injuries to his face, including cuts and broken bones.
* Brian D. Pen, 32, Old Farmington Road. Bond: $7,500; court date: Dec. 9. Charge: aggravated assault.
Allegedly, Massey hit a young woman who was with him at the house, and then Pen hit Massey with a liquor bottle, and Hargrove hit him with his fists, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Clyde Ragsdale.
Arrested and charged with domestic assault
* David E. Caneer, 45, Highway 64. Bond not stated; court date: Oct. 29. Additional charge: vandalism over $500.
* Joseph Rodrigues, 25, Peachtree Apartments. Bond: $1,000; court date: Oct. 8.
* Charles R. Marshall, 22, Chapel Hill. Bond: $1,000; court date: Sept. 24.
* Scottie W. Childress, 42, Galloway Street. Bond: $1,000; court date: Dec. 9.
Arrested and charged with violation of bond conditions
* Oren R. Johnson, 59, Mooresville Highway. Held without bond for court on Oct. 21. On Aug. 23, Johnson was arrested and charged with domestic assault. On Sept. 12, Lewisburg Police Officer Amanda Binkley spotted Johnson riding in a car with his victim, a violation of bond conditions which specify they must stay away from each other.
Arrested on a warrant for theft over $60,000
* Martin Riley III, 46, Smithville, Tenn. Bond: $45,000; court date: Oct. 15. Riley was transported to Marshall County from Dekalb County Jail.
Thefts and vandalism reported
* A custom-built motor for a racing boat was stolen from a property on Anes Station Road sometime in the last two weeks. It was a 325 horsepower Mercury motor worth $12,500. The cover of the motor was not taken.
* Sometime between 6:50 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 9, someone got into a home on Nick Poarch Road, Cornersville, by cutting a screen, and then making a hole in the wall of the house. The list of missing items was incomplete when Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Jerry Harden wrote his report, but it included jewelry, a Toshiba laptop, a 32-inch Panasonic TV, a DVD player, a Wii, a DSI and 15 to 20 games, an iPod Touch, two cell phones, a Dale Earnhardt stein collection, and assorted luggage. Total value of the listed items was almost $5,000, and $43.25 cash was also taken. Marshall County Sheriff's Detectives Jimmy Oliver and Tony Nichols are investigating.
* On Sept. 9, two Lewisburg business owners reported damage to vending machines. Someone tried to break into the vending machine at Big Kahuna Car Wash, causing $1,500 worth of damage. Someone did break into the Sundrop machine at the East Commerce Street Variety Shop and took $60 in change as well as doing $1,000 worth of damage to the machine.
* A Lewisburg man reported to police he found a car he wanted on Craigslist, and after exchanging emails with the seller, he wired $1,950 by Money Gram to a man in Michigan, but what he thought was an Ebay invoice was not from that site, and now he has neither the money nor the car.
* While the owner was at work on Sept. 11, a home on Ball Lane, Chapel Hill, was broken into through the back door, and a Hi-Point 9mm. pistol, two iPods, and some old money and coins were taken. Total value of the stolen property plus the cost of repairing the door was estimated at $1,900.
* Sometime between 5 p.m. Sept. 13 and 10:45 a.m. Sept. 15, someone kicked open the door of an unoccupied trailer on Milltown Road and made three 4-inch holes in the bathroom wall. The owner told Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Jerry Harden he was in the process of remodeling the trailer after damage by a previous renter. There were valuable tools in the trailer, but none was taken. The door will cost an estimated $775 to replace.
* A Chapel Hill man reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department he went out to mow his yard on Sept. 15 and noticed one of his kayaks was missing. The kayak is red, with a patch on the bottom, and has "Rippled" on each side in black lettering. The value of the kayak is $500.
* A Honda push mower, worth $360, was taken from the backyard of a home on Buchanan Street sometime between Sept. 1 and 10.
* Between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m. Sept. 15, someone rammed through a 12-foot metal gate at a home in Cornersville, and drove up to the house, but nothing appeared to be missing, and there was no other damage. The gate will cost $300 to replace.
* A two-to-three-month-old black Angus calf was euthanized after suffering what appeared to be a gunshot wound at the owner's farm in Cornersville on Sept. 14. Value of the calf was estimated at $300.
* On Sept. 15, someone kicked open the front door of a home on Old Belfast Road, breaking the door frame. Cost of repairing the door frame was estimated at $300.
* A 32-inch flatscreen Zenith TV worth $300 disappeared from a man's apartment on 7th Avenue South on Sept. 10, but there were no signs of forced entry.
* A Chapel Hill woman who was attending an auction in Lewisburg on Sept. 14 reported to police she left a cardboard box with her purchases and her purse in it unattended for five or 10 minutes, and when she came back the box was gone. In it were a statue of two Siamese cats, a wooden jewelry box, and two quilt tops (worth $55). Her purse and wallet, worth $65, contained $40 cash, keys, a $60 money order, drivers license, identity cards, and a debit card.
* Between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11, the glass window beside the front door of a home on Young Lane was broken, but no one entered the house. Cost of replacing the window is estimated at $200.
* Between Aug. 6 and 10, someone used the City of Lewisburg's credit card to make $158.30 worth of purchases from the Apple iTunes store.
* Between noon Sept. 13 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 15, someone pushed in a window air conditioner at a home on Hull Avenue, breaking the window in the process. Nothing appeared to be missing, but the owner said one of the beds in the house may have been slept in. Cost of replacing the window is estimated at $100.
* A car alarm went off about 4 a.m. at a home on White Drive, but when the owner checked outside, she saw nothing. It was only in the morning, when she went to pay a bill, she discovered $65 was missing from the center console.

Arrested and charged with filing a false report
* Melinda A. Davis, 20, 7th Avenue North. Bond: $1,000; court date: Oct. 21. Police were dispatched to Davis' home on Sept. 9 because a 911 hang up call came from there. Through the window, they saw two men sitting at the kitchen table, but when Davis came to the front door she said there were no men in the house, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Shaun Crawford. One man eventually came to the door, and another man, who had an active probation-violation warrant, was found hiding upstairs.
* Alicia Flickinger, 33, Holly Grove Road. Bond: $500; court date: Sept. 23. On Sept. 9, Flickinger admitted to City Court Judge Roger Brandon she falsified information in a domestic assault case, and Brandon issued the warrant for her arrest, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Charles Brannan.

* Amber M. Whitehead, 18, 7th Avenue North. Court date: Oct. 21. According to the report by Lewisburg Police Cpl. John Christmas, Whitehead was stopped because she was driving 40 mph in a 15 mph school zone.
